The course will run from 9.00 am of Monday, June 25th to 12.00 noon of Saturday, July 1st. A typical day will be as follows:

 9.00-10.30 First two morning classes
10.30-11.15 break
11.15-12.00 Last morning class

13.00 - lunch at the beach restaurant -

15.00-16.30 Two afternoon classes

• Theory of mixed finite elements: a priori analysis
• Compatibility conditions: de Rham complex and commuting diagram property
• A posteriori analysis of mixed finite elements
• Applications: finite elements for the Stokes problem
• Applications: mixed finite elements for the Reissner-Mindlin plate model and for elasticity
• Applications: edge finite elements for the approximation of Maxwell's equations
• Eigenvalue approximation by mixed finite elements (one seminar)
