Research lines:

Such a research is connected with modeling fractures, image reconstruction, and phase transitions. The study is concerned with variational equations and energies that can be written as integrals in the framework of Sobolev spaces and of spaces of dicountinuous functions. Particular interest is devoted to the numerical approximation as well. The technique is mainly of variational type.
