The  Meeting "Evolution equations: Inverse and Direct Problems"  will be held from June 20 to June 24, 2005, in Cortona,
a medieval town in Tuscany.

The topics to be discussed during the Meeting will include:
1) differential equation in Banach spaces;
2) linear and nonlinear semigroups;
3) identification problems;
4) applications of PDE.

The Meeting location will be "Il Palazzone", a prestigious historical villa in use by the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa.

The Meeting will be sponsored by the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INDAM) and FIRB 2001 ``Analisi di equazioni a
derivate parziali lineari e nonlineari: aspetti metodologici, modellistica, applicazioni''.
