Two Days Workshop on LC-flows

Pavia (Italy), March 24-25, 2014

 How to reach Pavia

If you arrive at Linate airport (50km from Pavia), the cheapest and easiest way to reach Pavia is to take the bus (15 euro for one way, 27 euro for both ways). It leaves at 9:10AM, 11:50 AM, 2:00PM, 4:50PM, 6:45PM, and 9:05PM, and it approximately takes 60 minutes to reach the last stop (the closest stop to the city center), that is at Pavia railway station. You can purchase the tickets on the bus or online. See here the company website for the most updated information.

A possible alternative is to take a taxi or a bus to Milan Centrale railway station and then a train to Pavia (see below). The bus to Milan Centrale railway station leaves every 30 minutes and it costs 5 euro for one way and 9 euro for both ways (see the website here).

If you arrive at Malpensa airport (90km from Pavia), you can reach Milan Centrale railway station by train or bus (approximately 50 minutes), and then take a train from there to Pavia (see below). To reach Milan Centrale railway station by train, you can use the direct train of the italian railway system or the Malpensa Express train (see the websites here and here, respectively). Note that Malpensa Express train directly arrives into Malpensa airport, stopping at the basement level in Terminal 1. Terminal 2 (mainly low-cost flights) is connected to Terminal 1 (international flights) by a free 24-hour shuttle service. Otherwise, you can take the Malpensa Shuttle Bus (see the website) that leaves every 20 minutes.

If you arrive at Orio al Serio (101km from Pavia), you can rent a car or take a bus to Milan Centrale railway station, and then take a train from there to Pavia (see below). Click here for the bus website.

By train, you can easily reach Pavia from Milan Centrale railway station (30-40 minutes) or from Genoa Porta principe railway station (78 minutes). Online tickets and timetables are available at the Italian railway website.
